About Mithra Forensic Research
Founded in 2015, by Melvin Glapion, Mithra Forensic Research is an independent investment research firm based in Los Angeles California.
We provide deep- dive equity research to hedge funds and investment managers. Mithra Forensic Research primarily focuses on identifying companies with flawed and deteriorating business fundamentals as well as those companies engaging in aggressive accounting and
financial statement fraud. A critical component of our research involves an assessment of Environmental Social and Governance matters. Consequently, the vast majority of our recommendations have been and are likely to be “sell” or “sell short”.
About Melvin Glapion
Melvin Glapion is the founder and director of Research. Melvin conducts all research and analysis himself. The firm utilizes the expertise of accounting, tax, and legal professionals when necessary.Melvin began his career as an Investment Banking analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co.
Over the course of the last 20 years, he has worked in the Telecommunications Media & Technology, Financial Services, and Aerospace &
Defense industries. He has also worked for accountancy firm, KPMG, as part of their Commercial Due Diligence and Strategy team in London.
Recently, Melvin served as the Managing Director of Kroll initially in the London office and more recently as head of its Los Angeles office.
Melvin has led engagements for clients faced with a broad-spectrum of risk sues, including establishing compliance programs, investigating
fraud, corruption, bribery and conducting internal investigations.
Melvin is a graduate of Tulane University (1990; BSM in Finance) and Harvard Business School (1994;MBA).

Melvin has authored and presented numerous thought-leadership studies on various diverse topics as they relate to risk, including, corporate governance failures, challenges of investing in emerging markets, and the opportunities for luxury retail in China. Melvin frequently conducts
courses on how non-accounting experts can better identify financial statement manipulation and fraud. He recently authored an industry
